Goodhart Wins, Good Second: Carlisle Tournament Recap

The team placed 9th out of 17 teams at the competitive 52nd Carlisle Holiday Tournament over the weekend. Senior Joey Goodhart remained undefeated, and led the team by winning his second consecutive Heavyweight. title for the Black Knights, on a 3 to 1 victory in the Finals. Junior David Good also had a super tournament, as he was the runner-up in the 126 pound weight class. Junior Jordan Ortiz, at 220, went 3 and 1 for the tournament, and claimed the 3rd Place medal. Sophomore Aidyn Miller went 4 and 2, and claimed 4th at 120 pounds as he lost in overtime 5-3.Sophomore, Brandon Hartman, went 3 and 2 at 106 pounds,  and took a fifth place award by winning that match 14-0. Tommy Bennett rounded out the medalists by also placing 5th at 195 pounds in a very competitive weight class, as he went 4 and 2 for the tournament. The team is off until this Thursday night, December 19th, when they open up the LL schedule by taking on Warwick at 7 pm.
