5 Black Knight wrestlers journeyed to Spring Grove on Saturday, February 27th with their eyes on securing a title and moving on to the PIAA West AAA Super Regionals and their quest for State Gold. After a hard day of battling, the Black Knights ended up with one District Champion and one fourth-place finisher, with the team placing 11th overall. Top 3 placers at each weight will move on to the Super Regional round, which will be held at Altoona High School on Saturday, March 6th.
Reagan LeFevre is Hempfield’s 14th District III Champion and Hempfield’s first since 2013 (Joey Goodhart, 285). Congrats Reagan and best of luck as you continue on the road to PA State gold!
