Black Knights 9th Grade Wrestler, Andrew Edye, Battles to Semis at Keystone State Championships

JUNIOR HIGH KEYSTONE STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS UPDATE

Representing the Black Knights at the 2021 Keystone State Championships (which is being held at the Monroeville Convention Center on April 1st-3rd) are Zy Murray, Dom Angelo, Deshawn Jones, and Andrew Edye. Three of the four wrestlers competed on Friday, April 1st with Andrew Edye (252lbs, 9th grade) making it to day two and into the semifinals!

Andrew is the first Black Knight to reach the semifinals at PJWs (which for this year is the Keystone State Championships) since Hempfield Alum Austin Miller (77 lbs) back in 2007.

Congratulations Andrew and best of luck as you continue on your quest for gold!!!

 

JUNIOR HIGH DAY ONE RESULTS:

124 LBS – ZY MURRAY – 8th Grade – 1W-2L, Did not place

132 LBS – DOM ANGELO – 8th Grade – 2W-2L; Did not place

252 LBS – ANDREW EDYE – 9th Grade – 4W-0L; Currently in semis
