FIELD OF SCREAMS FUNDRAISER
SCARE PEOPLE – MAKE MONEY FOR WRESTLING!
NOTE: PARTICIPATION IS STRONLY ENCOURAGED FOR HEMPFIELD WRESTLERS!
The Black Knight Wrestling Club is teaming with Field of Screams as part of a FUN and EXCITING fundraising effort. For each person (adult, child, or coach) that participates in scaring the crap out of people (or even parking cars), Field of Screams will make a donation to the Hempfield Wrestling Booster Club. This is an EASY and FUN way to generate money for our program. There are no set-up costs or mats to move!
WHY: Jim’s and Andrea’s donations to our club for the exchange of our athletes volunteering will go directly to the NEW JH & SH Rudis Fight Shorts and team shirts, Elementary apparel, AND ALL GENERAL CLUB OPERATIONS. Parents are encouraged to participate as well. Keep in mind, The Barn Wrestling Room is provided from the extremely generous Schopf family. It is my hope and expectation that our entire program contributes time to this effort.
WHEN: 4 NIGHTS! SATURDAY OCTOBER 9, 16, 23, and 30, 2021. Participate in any or all of them. These are the busiest nights for Field of Screams and therefore extra staffing is great to have. Parents of Youth Wrestlers should sign up, JH/SH wrestlers and Parents should sign up!
WHAT: Below are the duties and time requirements needed for each one. Just dress appropriately for the weather and you may want to bring some water along.
- Field of Screams Actor – from 8pm – 2am. FOS provides training and costume. Must be at least 14 years of age.
- Parking Lot Traffic Director – from 4:30pm – 10:30pm. FOS provides training, parking vest, and flashlight. Must be at least 16 years of age or accompanied by an adult
- Trash Pick Up in FOS Parking Lots – from 8am – 10am on Saturday and Sunday mornings. FOS provides latex gloves and trash bags.
WHERE: Field of Screams – 191 College Ave – Mountville. Participation any night in October will be honored as credit money towards the Club. So, if none of the Saturday’s work, let Jim Schopf know what day works for you. Times are a little different on Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
HOW: Please email High School Volunteer Assistant Coach Jim Schopf at jim@fieldofscreams.com if you are able to participate and help raise money for our program. Include the names of who is participating and what each person would like to do. RSVP as soon as possible but at any time up until noon on the Saturday you are helping. After, that just plan on arriving on site Saturday evening.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE: Try to park in the AHF parking lot next to FOS. Go to the Information Center where Christine will have the list of participants. She will direct you to the appropriate person. Jim will most likely be at the entrance to the hayride but knee deep in managing the event. Even if you do not sign up in advance you are still more than welcome to attend, so don’t worry about not being on the list, you are still able to participate.
