On Saturday, February 20th, the Black Knights squared off against their sectional competitors, taking their first step on the path to winning PA State gold.
The Black Knights will be well-represented at this year’s PIAA District III SC Regional Tournament. 12 Hempfield athletes were invited to this year’s District III Section II tournament, with the top two wrestlers in each weight class advancing to the SC Regional round on Saturday, February 27th at Spring Grove High School. Of those 11, 9 ended up placing in the top 4 with 5 wrestlers advancing to the next round.
