Robert M. Bard (or Bob, as we all know him) has been a passionate supporter of Hempfield Wrestling since November 2018, and to this date has donated a total of $25,000 to the Black Knight Wrestling Club.
Bob’s love for the sport began in the early 60’s as a Student Athlete at Conestoga Valley High School. Although he only started wrestling in the 9th grade, he ended up as a 2x Sectional Champion.
After graduation, he continued his academic and athletic career at Elizabethtown College.
His enthusiasm for the sport never waned and in fact continued to grow post-college, and for the past 35 years he has attended every NCAA National Championship event.
It was only a matter of time before his passion for wrestling expanded even more to include the Hempfield Wrestling Program as he began to follow the career of his great-nephew, Dylan Bard Jr. when he started wrestling for the Black Knights.
Today you’ll find Bob at many Hempfield in- and out-of-season team tournaments.
Thank you, Bob Bard, for your continued and much appreciated support!
